Keystone takes a project management approach when implementing employee benefits. For most of our clients’ implementations, we develop project goals, objectives and timelines; identify key personnel resources, insurance product mix, as well as applicable technology to obtain a successful outcome. My experience in project management gives me the ability to formulate and execute project plan specific to each client, simplifying what can be a difficult process. My understanding of the group insurance market place insures I bring the proper mix of carriers and product to the solution.

Steven Sallas

Steve brings a diverse background to the Keystone team that gives him a unique perspective assisting his clients solve their employee benefit needs. Having managed information technology projects for several fortune 500 companies gives Steve a background in managing large, multifaceted projects. This knowledge along with his understanding of the employee benefits industry allows Steve to focus on the issues at hand, solving them by bringing the right mix of product, services and technology.

Steve also spent much of his career helping companies of all sizes implement business solutions. This background has given Steve an understanding of how to work with companies at many different management levels. Steve also understands that the work doesn’t end with a successful implementation. Ongoing support insures that should assistance be needed with issues such as billing reconciliation, claims resolution or any on-going employee benefit support, his team is ready to lend a hand.

Starting his insurance career at New York Life in 2003, Steve was provided quality education in the area of both individual and corporate insurance products and services. After having successfully completed his CFP® coursework, Steve realized that his expertise helping corporations solve their employee benefits needs was a better fit given his business to business background. Steve successfully implemented his first employ benefit plan in 2005. By the way, that company is still a client of Keystone.

“I look forward to my vacations with my family (wife, two step children and their significant others, two grandchildren – soon to be three) either on the west coast of Florida or in the mountains of N GA and North Carolina.

The fishing in Cedar Key, a sleepy little fishing village west of Gainesville, is phenomenal! We usually split up into two boats and have fishing contest. There usually is no clear-cut winner as there is usually some discrepancies on size and types of fish caught.

Our trips to the mountains are usually filled with days on the hiking trails visiting scenic overlooks and fabulous waterfalls…. At night we usually find a good restaurant as we all like to eat good food!”

Steve is not just a native Floridian, he is a fourth generation Floridian. His great, great grandfather was one of the first Spanish settlers in St. Augustine.
